Band Of Horses
This is a new favorite band of mine, newly discovered. The group blends new age accoustic sounds with haunting lyrics and vocals. The bands 2006 release "Everything All the Time" is nothing short of brilliance in my ears.
While the band still appears a little rough around the edges, its music speaks to something deeper, something nearly spiritual. The highlight of the CD is the song Funeral.

Horses Band
I hadn't realized that Band of Horses is made up of former members of the band Clarissa's Weird. They have carried some of those same unique sounds over but remain uniquely above the previous incarnation that should have been big in my book. The band has recently been compared to Matador, but I don't see the reresemblanceccept may the song Bass Song.
