37 Year Old Bored With 15 Year Old Groom

A woman, Lisa Clark, 37, married her son's 15 year old friend after becoming pregnant with his child. She is now being charged with child molestation, although she denies that he was a victim. She says that he pursued her, and she said no because she prefers older men, but that he was very instant and "sweet."

He is currently being held in a detention center for other reasons.

She said in an interview that she hopes to still start a life with him and their baby, and she married him because she wanted the baby to have his last name.

These kinds of cases seem to be ever more prevalent, but the unique thing in this case is that the woman seems to be actually blaming the much younger teenager. It is all sick as far as I am concerned.

She is blaming the boy. There's no excuse, in my opinion, for her taking part in this. She is still the adult, not the child. Every little boy and little girl always has a crush on somebody much older than them. A teacher, a friend's parent, an actor/actress. They aren't all running out to marry Paris Hilton or Johnny Depp. As the responsible adult and mother she is supposed to be, she should have taken action other than what she did. She should have contacted the boy's guardians and discussed what was going on if he was trying to pick up on her. There were many more measures she could have taken if she truly did not want to be with him. I think she did, I just think she was saying no to him to cover herself later on.

She told the detectives that she married the boy so the baby would have his last name - BUT, in the state of Georgia where they live, there are no limits on marriage if the bride-to-be is pregnant.

I read in another article that she had insisted that they marry because technically she wouldn't have been committing a crime by having sexual relations with a child if that child was her husband.
