Key battle: Business groups try to quash federal equal pay project
Business groups led by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce are pressuring the Trump administration to kill an Obama-era initiative designed to reduce wage disparities by requiring big employers to report pay data based on race, gender and ethnicity. If you are in a job that has the same requirements then you should get the same pay whether you are male, female, Black, white, purple or any other color. Same pay for the same job. The only difference I can see is if one is just starting out in a job compared to one who has been in that job for many years.
