A Wellington family survived a terrifying 10-metre plunge when their cable car hurtled out of control down steep terrain – with them in it.

My last cable car experience was in Utah. It was scary enough just riding in it let alone having an accident in one. I can only imagine the real horror that took these people's hearts, it is amazing that they survived really despite needing surgery:
