Has the demand that parents put on their kids to do good in school really come to the point that kids are really this afraid to show their parents how they are doing? I remember vividly how my parents reacted if I were to get a C on a paper and that wasn't all together supportive, but it was nothing more than a few weeks grounding till I could show improvement in that course area. But I don't even believe my parents did that much after I turned 15, they pretty well left me responsible for how I did in my classes. This is a very sad story, not the ending but the motive.
