I have always wondered why people become funeral directors and morticians. I get so emotional anytime I hear of somebody dying. I don't think I could deal with being surrounded with all of that sadness. I would love a first hand response to know why someone feels called to this particular job field.
From recent experience, I can tell you that it takes caring, dignified people to fulfill this profession. I'm not sure that I could do it, but it was certainly wonderful to have them treat us so well.
