Binge Eating Vs. Being Unfaithful

Binge eating worse than being unfaithful?

ROME (Reuters) - Most Italians feel more guilty about over-eating than they do about cheating on their partners, a survey has found, suggesting that people in Casanova's native land care more about staying slim than staying faithful.

Unfaithful Vs Eating Binge

This is a very sad survey indeed. In the land where the catholic church keeps its headquarters, most people think over eating is worse than unfaithfulness? Thats truly sad in my opinion. Another thing is that I have never met an Italian that felt guilty about over eating. So I assume that it must be low on the totem pole to begin with, which is even worse.

I think it's a very selfish outlook. That says to me that people are more concerned about food than bringing pain to somebody else. Granted they are, possibly, taking in their health, but still. You're gambling with your health and safety either way, but more people get hurt with cheating. Perhaps it's my mentality, but I just find it hard to fathom ever feeling more guilty over eating than cheating on my partner. I can't even imagine thinking of cheating on him.

Unfaithful Vs Eating Binge

To echo my fellow posters who did an excellent job, I can't believe it! It's horrible! I think on some level it might be why we have so many "starter" marriages. I hadn't heard of that term until I was reading in a popular magazine and saw that most people between the ages of 20-30 view a first marriage as a "starter" marriage and thus can be ended devil-may-care. I don't know what sort of system of beliefs they have, but I didn't get married for "the time being until I meet someone better." Heaven knows we've had our ups and downs, but we have struggled and worked at it, too. Not just said, "well, this isn't effortless, let's just quit." It's a very sad state of affairs when indigestion is worse than infidelity.
