Genetic sexual attraction (GSA) is sexual attraction between close relatives, such as a brother and sister, who first meet as adults. GSA can occur as a consequence of adoption, when the adopted children discover their true ancestry and seek out relatives. Although this is a rare consequence of adoptive reunions, the large number of adoptive reunions in recent years means that a significant number of people are affected. It is generally highly distressing to both parties, as this sexual attraction is contrary to their socialized sexual and moral structures, as well as to the legal structure of society. The theory is that close relatives, due to similar genetic makeup, may be genetically predisposed toward the same interests and have highly compatible personalities. This makes relatives who meet later in life more likely to find each other attractive than would two random people.

I suppose this makes sense. The only real reason we don't get attracted to and have relations with our relatives is because of the social aversion to the issue of incest. This aversion started through organized religions and their beliefs that incest is morally wrong and forbidden by God. However, the Bible implicates that this type of relationship was at least needed in the beginning, if you take it literally and with no other source of scriptures. But today, and early on in society and religion, incest became wrong and a horrendous sin/crime against humanity. Now, one looks at their family members and gets disgusted by the idea of having relations with them. Almost everyone does, even I am not immune to social trainings. However, taking away the bond of family and eliminating that which links us socially to the disgust of incest, and the same rules of attraction apply.
