On the way back home Fair is disappointed that the Innkeeprer had no bread. She would have loved some to go along with some soup but it was not the end of her meal, she prepares the table to sit and eat.
"Not bad" she thinks while taking some long slurp of her soup. She always liked it as hot as possible and enjoyed blowing it down off the spoon. Fair's mind drifts on to varying things she has done and her future plans while looking at her rather plain wall.
After finishing one bowl she gets just a bit more and puts the rest to cool off. Perhaps she will have more before sunset as hot soup is good for cold nights.
Fair looks in her stock. "Do I have flour? I will need some for bread… " she thinks while searching her almost bare cupboards. "I do believe I will have to get me some as well as a quarter cheese for rainy days".
She leaves for the village's temporary market. Seeing an old lady with some flour available she asks for some and the cost. She remarks, "It would be really good to have a baker in this village wouldn't it?"
Not really getting a favorable response she moves on as the woman gives her a look of scorn as though she asked for something wrong!
