You know, we often read that martial arts can be used for protection, but it is actually rare to see it being used to do so. Thus, when you read a report like this - you take note. Here is more from that report:

Fantastic that she was both resourceful and unafraid at the age of fifteen, but at the same time, one has to wonder what would of happened had they been with a knife or gun.

Jujitsu Stops Attack History & Civil Business Politics
You are right, JB, in that it is rare to hear of people using self defense moves to protect themselves. I applaud this young woman for using what she was taught to defend herself. I only hope that if she realized the men were armed, eg with knives or guns, that she would not have tried to be too brave and find herself shot or stabbed instead.
