Rebelious Teens

I believe that teenagers are rebellious as they don't agree with the older generation however I also think that the older generation feel slightly intimidated by teen gangs and that image brushes off on the rest of us. We are rebellious because we are constantly being attacked because of our young age and discriminated from making major decisions at the older generation believe they can do better when in fact a young mind is more optimistic and more capable with dealing with pressure. Why is this a repetitive cycle that has gone on for generations.

I am not sure if you are asking a question, making a specific point or just ranting random thoughts, but I will attempt to give my view based on certain statements you made.

I believe the youth of today are more vibrant, optimistic and ready to perform than the older generation, including me. However, I do not equate wisdom with optimism, because it is like having a very efficient car ready to go, but with no destination in mind. I believe some teens, if not most can learn just a few thing, if not more, if they but take the time to listen to a wise adult source other than their peers or the latest fad pop hero. I believe teens today are more rebellious now, simply because they are exposed more to the negativity of the adult world --> drugs, porn, abuse, and so on publicized through the net / cable / movies, etc. I firmly believe that if teens have a strong relationship with caring parents there would be none of this rebelliousness, because these same teens will know that they can find a true friend in their mother or father. There are even more abusive parents today, so teens do not have the major blame, I believe poor or lack of good parenting is the main cause. There are so many fathers especially that need to be accountable.
