Baby Giveaway In Pakistani Television

There is this game show in Pakistan where they give away abandoned babies to childless couples. They pre-screen suitable parents and then they give the newborn babies on the air, particularly during the time where there is fierce competition for ratings. The host and the organization involved, state that they are saving babies that otherwise would have been killed by stray cats or dogs since the babies have been rescued in dumpsters.

What are your thoughts?

I understand the need to give babies to parents who qualify but why to do it in national television AND during a game show? Babies are not prizes.
