LAS VEGAS, Nevada - In June of 1855, 30 missionaries from Salt Lake
City arrived in what is now Las Vegas and built what is now known as the
Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort. About 2,000 people gathered at the fort Saturday
to celebrate its sesquicentennial. "Today we celebrate this place and the
courageous and innovative people who inhabited it," said Nevada state parks
director David Morrow.

I am glad to hear that the members are trying their best to keep this place running, although it seems like they spent a lot of money in doing it. There are many people in Las Vegas who do not know about this place and I am sure it will give an excellent opportunity to introduce the Gospel to them.
