Well, why do you think the price of oil has dropped so low? They are trying to trick us into thinking we have "extra" money to shop with. Otherwise, this may be the worst holiday shopping year on record -- and, frankly, it may be anyway, even with the temporary reprieve of gas prices.

I see that the orders for durable goods has dropped by 5% last month. That means that people are still not buying anything major. I believe it is a trend that is going to continue for a time.

I do not think the public or the sheeple are fooled though. With the durable goods dropping I think people are going to hold on to their money. I think we still are going to fall further soon even with the stocks rising the past few days.

What "Big Brain" think tank did that come out of? The problem is, it can't really be seen except in hindsight. However, I think they are being much too kind... the recession started in 2005/2006, in my opinion.
