Suspected members of the outlawed Boko Haram sect were alleged to have randomly attacked some Borno villages at night, leading to death of over 26 persons and displacement of several others. Forty houses were also said to have been torched in the villages. Ref. Source 8

Nigeria: 74 Killed in Fresh Benue, Borno Mayhem:

IT was another day of bloodshed, yesterday, as 74 persons, including five policemen, were killed in separate incidents in Benue and Borno states even as Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State has called for military assistance to check the killings. Ref. Source 2
