Recently, according to official data a teacher's monthly salary is only 533 pesos, which is about $27 US dollars. Because there is such a low salary, thousands of teachers left the ministry of Education as a result along with poor working conditions. As of now, the government is trying to recover the deficit of teachers so they can run all the schools properly again.
