Yes, this is truly an amazing story. I feel so bad for the little baby whose parents abandoned him on the doorstep, basically to die. I wonder if the cat was male or female, because that may have a lot to do with it's instincts in drawing attention to the little baby.

What an interesting question, Malexander! The thought never occured to me, really that if it were a female cat that its motherly instincts might have been behind the meowing!
At least for the days when we feel overrun by bad news, there is a sign of hope. This brightens my day. (I am trying not to mire myself in the fact that the baby was abandoned to begin with) At least he was left in a populated area and not somewhere else. I shudder to think.
