I don't agree with this at all. Being left out of the loop means that I was not considered capable of doing something. This is a poor reflection on me as a person, and therefore, I have nothing to be grateful for. Having less work is for those who are lazy and just do enough to get by.

I do not agree with the quote at all, I think is just a rationalization of someone who really wanted the job but did not get it. A bitter statement, that's all.
