Today in Nascar there are many precautions taken to help ensure the safety of the drivers. This includes but not limited to: Fully enclosed helmet, HANS device for securing your head and neck as well as an optional hatch on the roof for alternate exit of the car.
Do you believe that Nascar does enough to ensure the safety of the drivers today or is this sport too dangerous for the drivers?
I don't think its to dangerous. There are allot of precautions taken to protect the drivers. Sure, there are wrecks and some people do get hurt, but not any more than in any other sport. They did have a death, but its not out of place in sports. Look at hockey, football, boxing, basketball, and baseball. All of them have had major injuries and there have been a couple deaths in the last twenty years.
