Tobago To Trinidad Is

I've only been to Tobago once and I lived in Trinidad for a while, but in my opinion, the two countries seem to have very different ways of life. Tobago is very laid back, and Trinidad is a bit more fast paced. However, certain parts of Trinidad are similar to Tobago. When I visited Tobago, I felt like I was in a different country, and not in a different part of Trinidad, which is why I say that it is different to me.

Is Trinidad Different To Tobago? Caribbean / Tobago & Trinidad

I always thought the two were the same country. If they are separate places, then why are they always mentioned together: Trinidad and Tobago?

Tobago To Trinidad Is

They are two islands that make up one country. Tobago actually used to be independent, but under British rule they were joined under one government. Of recent there are efforts to give them as much authority to manage their own affairs as they possibly can without becoming totally independent.

Tobago To Trinidad Is

Yes indeed, Trinidad is very different from Tobago in the following ways:

1) Trinidad is more industrialized than Tobago.

2) Trinidadians are very impatient whereas Tobagonians are more laissez-faire.

3) Tobagonians are more culture conscious and are proud of their heritage; Trinidadians are copy cats and enjoy emulating and adopting American culture.

4) Tobagonians are not litter bugs like Trinidadians (look at their beaches).

5) Tobagonians are very rigid and resistent when it comes to change. Trinidadians are a little more willing to embrace change.
