You Offend Bible Does
Oddly enough, no, the bible does not offend me. Though perhaps the shear amount of bloodshed in the old testament should, it does not. To me, the bible is the revelation of the origins of the beliefs of a group of people. Religion tells us who and why people serve. The bible is the guideline of christians and jews and tells us what they believe. It gives us insight into why people who believe it think the way they do. To know a religions scriptures is to know a religion. To know a peoples religion is to know their culture.

Does The Bible Offend You? Revealed Bible The
The Holy Bible itself does not offend me. What offendes me is how some people interprete it and twist it, so the bible is seems to be saying what they want it to say. When man puts his own interpretation in the bible that's when things get confusing. We should learn how to let God show us what the Bible is saying and truly means.

You Offend Bible Does
What happens when more than one person interpret the bible differently, and both feel god is enlightening it for them? I don't think I have ever heard someone interpret scripture and say it was them and not god. So how do you determine when to be offended, or is it based, as all beliefs are, on the idea that your interpretation is from god and others aren't?
