DanFuller Introduction

I was born in the state of Louisiana in the United States. At the age of 18 I entered the US Army and served in Germany, Viet Nam and Korea. During that time I married and had my first two children. After college I worked in the oilfields of Louisiana and Texas for 10 years before changing my profession to computer related work. Today I work as a computer administrator. My last three children were born around the time I changed my work career.

My wife, eternal companion and sweetheart, has been with me since we were 16 years old. In these many years we have enjoyed the challenges that accompany two people learning to share their lives together. Both of us were born to Christian families and at the age of 19, we joined ourselves to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As we have grown through the years, 5 children, 13 grandchildren and 4 "in-laws", whom we now count as our children, also joined us. Our greatest accomplishments are our children. They are good people who would never hurt anyone and are quick to help others if they can.

I am interested in many, many things, but have been mostly a dreamer all my life. You know"¦ dreaming of doing this and that, but never seeming to find the time or money for it. Some of the things I am interested in at this time of my life are computer performance, basic programming, building a pirogue, gardening, learning more about the gospel of Jesus Christ, writing a story, seeing or reading "good" romantic science fiction or fantasy movies or novels, and cooking "Brats" on my new father's day gift, a small outdoor charcoal briquette grill.

This will be a somewhat new experience for me, as I have not participated very often in a group such as this, one in which ideas and experiences are shared openly. But, I would like to give it a try and hope to be open minded and interesting in my contributions.
