Sometimes you don't realize it but there is a lot of religion in comics. Makes sense because there is a lot of supernatural power in religion so the two run together. Plus comics try to be true to life despite the obvious tall tale it presents so religion is going to be part of the reading.

Yeah agree theres many depiction of religious pantheon too like odin, thor, loki, zeus, athena, poseidon, hades, hera even jesus to name a few of it because in a way they have superhero trait to it.

And a religious story in a form of comic are easily understandable to discern, compare to common religious book, because of the aid of the graphical art.
