Swimmingly Introduction

Hello all, I'm Swimmingly, and I'm a swimmer, writer, and amateur philosopher. If you winced at the last one, I apologize, and promise that I don't think I'm right about anything. This site seems somewhat interesting, if a little dated, and I hope it'll be fascinating to be at. Please forgive me for small lapses and inform me of large ones, for I am new and slow to understanding.

Hi Swimmingly! Thank you for your introduction. Dungeons & Dragons is the reason you joined, correct? I asked because you did not mention anything about it in your introduction. Also, I'm most interested in what you meant by the site being "...a little dated"?
