Does Microsoft's Windows Genuine Advantage Program Qualify as Spyware? Security experts disagree, but say Microsoft could have done a better job with controversial WGA program.

All WGA does is check to make sure that your Windows version is legit. There is not genuine advantage, except for them maybe. Its an embedded spyware program specifically designed to report peoples Windows license key to catch people without a valid license key, or using pirated copies. I consider it spyware and have made sure not to download it myself.
