Minded Open Jews Are

Oddly enough, the Jews I have met are very open minded. I know some religiously pious and zealous Jews are not open minded, but generally they are. In fact, many are open to different interpretations of their scriptures and will admit that some of them don't exactly fit perfectly.

Are Jews Open Minded? Judaism Studies

At one point I heard that Judaism has the highest percentage of secular members. I find this somewhat odd since secular society itself developed within Christian cultures. There could be many reasons for this including Judaism's emphasis on action rather than faith. In any case, I'm not certain what connection secularity has with open-mindedness, but open-mindedness really came to fruition as a virtue as a result of secularization so I'd wager there is a relationship.

Rather off topic, but...
Unfortunately I can't remember where I heard this statistic so I can't provide a link or backing for this.

Every Jew I've met has been very open-minded, but I haven't met many extremely orthodox ones.
