How To Relieve Stress - Stress Relief
When I was teenager I would run for miles and miles to relieve stress. Sometimes I would do it so often that I would get shin splints. When the running was injuring me I switched to cycling and would do that for many miles too.
As I got older I would use other things like reading, walking or spiritual meditation. I was a missionary in England / Wales for two years and learned a lot about stress and how to cope with it through religious beliefs. It also helped being around others who were doing the same thing you were doing.
Today, as a parent with three autistic children, I can hardly do any of the things I used to in order to relieve stress so now I have focused on learning when I can and writing. I drown my sorrows in releasing my thoughts online. I've also taken up a more disciplined lifestyle starting with being a vegan and following through with a more structured activities that help me get through the day. What do you do to relieve stress, especially the kind of stress that makes you feel like 'if you're going crazy'?
