Flag Jamaica

The Jamaican flag was adopted in August 6, 1962. It was symbolized by the motto: 'Hardships there are but the land is green and the sun shineth'. The black triangles represent the hardships Jamaica has overcome and the green triangles symbolizes hope and agriculture and the golden saltire stands for the mineral wealth of Jamaica and sunlight.
