A general Thread about the state Flag of Mexico. What do you like / not like about the Mexico Flag? Do you feel the Flag of Mexico best represnts the citizenry?

The Mexican flag was adopted in September 16, 1968. However the development of it was taken way back than that. The green part of the flag represents hope, red as the blood of the heroes and white as unity. The eagle in the middle represents the coat of arms of Mexico. Nice flag.

With the eagle carrying a snake while standing on a catus it could be a huge symbol they took from the Aztecs as the lake that was once where Mexico city is now at was the center of their empire. Thus it is now the coat of arms for all of Mexico.
