Ngai Tahu Gives Back Si Land
NGAI TAHU GIVES BACK SI LAND
Ngai Tahu gave 4172ha of South Island high country back to the Crown yesterday in a final exchange from the 1997 Deed of Settlement.

Land Si Gives Tahu Ngai
Well thats really cool. I'm glad they finally gave the land back to the people that deserved it and would conserve it as it should be preserved. I am curious by it took nearly nine years to "do the right thing" and why the sudden change of heart. They didn't have the heart to give it back nine years ago, but now they suddenly have a conscience about it?
