Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., to leave Congress 2 years early

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., a leading fiscal conservative, says he will leave Congress at the end of this year as he battles cancer. In a statement, Coburn played down his health issues and said he had always intended to only serve two terms in the Senate. But he'll leave two years before his current term is supposed to end. Ref.
