I guess it can work with some people but I think you would need to be the kind of person that can relax and breathe easy - not everyone can do it, they just need to be moving and doing something all the time.
This kind of meditation is similar to one being on drugs. You sit there and somehow reach other universes and planes when all it is in reality is your tapping into your subconscious mind.
Its not a skill that you get overnight. First you have to get to a state of inner peace and then begin the process towards enlightenment.
