Is Suriname Surfing popular? Are there Suriname Wave Rider facilities that Surfers can use for the sport? Is the sport developed or unknown? Even if it is not done locally, who are the most known Suriname Surfers?

I don't know much about Suriname but from my research (And I stand to be corrected) it seems that surfing in Suriname is not common at all simply because there aren't many beaches to do it due to coastal erosion. What beaches they do have surrounds protected areas where the leather back turtles come in to lay their eggs.
