Cloudv Introduction

wink.gif Hello, I am here because my son went on a mission to england. It is the manchester mission. He is now coming home in october and I am very excited about it and afraid at the same time. He has to fly and with all of the things going on in the world with americans flying home from england to the united states like blowing up planes and especially lately with this woman putting a bomb inside her babies things or bottle well, I wonder what will people stoop to next.
I am a mother of five children all whom have grown up. my oldest is my daughter who is married now for 16 years and has three small babies. she started very late in her marriage having her babies. Her husband is a doctor radiologist in utah and she and he enjoyed themselves so much in their marrige in the begining they just didn't have children until now. I then have four boys of which my oldest is a graduate of west point and is in the army a major and is married with three children. my next son is in the airforce and has one child and is military police and made history not too long ago. He and another guy went to the civilian police accademy in albequerque new mexico for 6 months. this was the first time anyone in any military branch has done that. then my next son went on a mission to cambodia back in 1999-2001 and came home and was married by the end of the next year and then there is my youngest son who is in england now in the manchester mission and will be coming home like I said.
now with all that I am a grandma of 7 grandkids, whose husband retired from the airforce with 23 years in service. He is DAV, dissabled veteran from the veitnam war and since he got out in 1994 we have lived in kansas city, Missouri and then moved to texas where we are now. My husband recently was laid off from his job he is a director of biomedical shops. the hospital he worked for was sold and all the directors were let go so he has been looking for a job for a year now. He lost his job a year after my son went to england and one year before he is coming back which can be a blessing or not. My last son came back from his mission and his father had this job just starting and made plenty of money so he couldnt get any aid for school and now this son has come back to his father with no job so basically he might be able to get some aid to go to college. well, my husband and I are fixing our house up to sell right now. Isn't that always the way your house looks nice as you are about to leave. I have gone to college myself and haven't been able to get a degree. I became really ill during my second year. I might try to go back again. I am 55 years old but its never too late to try something. I feel in my life even with all my trials and I have had many and still do I have indeed been blessed by the Lord. I have had many things happen to me to let me know that God lives and works in his childrens lives. He will not forsake us. I have had the Holy Spirit visit me many times and have needed it. Pray for my sons safe return from england..

Hi Cloudv, and welcome to the forum.
What a great introduction!
At least it's not too long now for your Son's return from England. I trust my fellow Mancunians have treated him well.
You never know, he may have knocked on my door!
I will pray for a safe return for him.
Looking forward to seeing you around the forum.Best wishes, Diane.
