The son of the new Dutch armed forces commander is killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan.

It is alwasy sad to see a soldier killed in this way. I do hope that we get more control again in afganistan. The taliban are getting increasing anxious due to the fact that we have not pulled out so they can retake command.

It is sad to see soldiers die in this manner. I agree it was just fluke who dies by the blast and it was not an assassination attempt on a specific target. I expect to see an increase in their activity over the next month.
