Yes, women can pass gonorrhea to their baby during delivery. It is important to be tested for diseases when you are pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant. The bacteria can cause infections in a baby's eyes if it gets in them. The infection can cause blindness. I'm sure the bacteria can affect the rest of the baby's body if it were not cleaned off properly.
