BRITISH MINISTER SAYS MUSLIM VEILS A BARRIER
Jack Straw, the leader of the British House of Commons disclosed Thursday that he often asks Muslim women visiting his office to remove their veils, sparking controversy.

Actually, I agree with Mr. Straw. This may be the first time I have ever agreed with him.
During any sort of official function, or anytime that actual identification has to be made, I think that it is vital that the woman show her face. That is true of driver's licenses and passports especially.
I respect their desire for modesty. But there is too much danger in the modern world to allow such anonymity sometimes.
