Yes and no.
Yes that true romance does involve the man wanting to share a bed with the woman. That is only natural after all.
No, because, to me, romance is more than sharing a bed with someone. True romance to my mind entails not only sharing a bed but sharing your lives in every way possible.

Comments: Romance is just man's way of beating his chest like the apes do when they want to find a mate. If the woman falls for it then that is one captured. You'd think as intelligent people we should know that anyone can go out and buy a box of chocolates and flowers but it takes lots more than that to be a true gentleman and romancer.
I think there once was a time were romance was real and genuine. These days I don't think true romance exists much. Men are capable of true Love and romance, however in my experience the woman does not know what to do with the real thing when she finds it. So we are left with a mirror image of the real thing to facilitate those raw emotions allowing us to procreate in a more "civilized" way.
Also in my mind romance is more of a getting to know you thing. Once the couple has been together for a while it is near impossible to have true romance. However when those moments come they are stronger each time. In essence I think both parties have to be open and truly wanting the romance for it to work.
It means different things for different people but in the end when you add in romance its because you want to 'win' the person over to you. What 'win' means is all up to the two people involved but true romance should be nothing other than to see the person happy and to show you care... Maybe I'm too gullible.
