From what I heard, people that spend a lot of time behind a computer do it because they feel that they are controlling the world they live in. By controlling the computer and telling it what to do they are masters of their universe. However, these same people are just geeks, nerds, undesirables or whatever you want to call it in the real world.

All I can say is that I know people who spend a lot of time behind a computer than it is really hard for them not only to become more social with *real* people (after all, the computer is their "world") but also they expect the real life to be as fast as a "click" on their mouse. It's crazy.

I have never actually thought about this aspect of this before and find it very interesting. Thinking back to my own behavior at different times over the past few years I would most likely agree completely. It would seem that the more time that I spent sitting in front of my computer the more impatient in general I may have become. I think it almost acts as a stimulant causing my thoughts to run just a bit faster.

This is an interesting topic, I would have to agree that those who do such as hackers get a real rush out of knowing what the can do and break into things, programmers they spend a lot of time behind the computer too but they need to focus and you can get pretty wrapped up trying to create someting hours go byyy... But the are always limited by the computer it self... They get mad when they are interupted too... always crabby... Ones should not get to close and never, never look them straight in the eye...
