If Mitt Romney does run again I hope the church leadership isn't going to use money to help fund his campaign again.

Church leaders are free to choose which person he or she wants, and that includes giving, their own private, money. They can't use tithing, or any other Church sourced money, if they did, I think that's wrong.

The Mormon church does have a fund that supports members who run for government positions. Its not talked about because they don't want a line of people standing for money but it is available. If Mitt Romney does run again you will see him make a courtesy call to the presidency before he campaigns.
