An American teacher convicted of having sex with a 15-year-old student has been exiled to Canada as punishment in an unusual case that has immigration experts divided over its legality.

Frankly, I don't see how this is punishment, since the offender actually owns a home and lives in Ontario, Canada. (Unless, of course, living with his family after having sex with a student is a hardship?)
