What are your thoughts about this delicious dish?

Recipe detials:

1 c Hot strong tea

1/2 c Chopped dates

1/2 c Chopped mixed peel

1 c Washed raisins

1 c Brown sugar

1 Egg, beaten

2 c All-purpose flour

1 ts Baking powder

1/4 ts Soda

1/4 ts Salt

Pour tea over fruit and sugar and let stand over-night. Next morning stir in egg, then flour, baking powder, soda and salt sifted together. Turn into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 300F. Turn onto wire rack to cool. To serve, slice
