Bill Dalrymple, 56, and best friend Bryan Pinn, 65, have decided to take the plunge and try out the new same-sex marriage legislation with a twist -- they're straight men. "I think it's a hoot," Pinn said. The proposal came last Monday at a Toronto bar amid shock and laughter from their friends. But the two -- both of whom were previously married and both of whom are looking for a good woman to love -- insist that after the humour subsided, a real issue lies at the heart of it all.

Like any marriage, same sex marriage can be a marriage of convenience as well. Its not unheard of for male and female to marry for one to be able to stay in the country, or for financial reasons. The marriage policy in general can be exploited, its no suprise that it carries over into same sex marriage. Why is it a bigger deal in same sex marriages than in traditional marriages?

Canadians courts are jam packed with family cases and with no apparent solutions for a system that does not follow the rules of law of evidence but is propagated by innuendo and allegations, all which provide a bonanza for low life family lawyers who feed off the misery of marital dissolution and are a major cause of family and child poverty in the country. Now we are going to inject homosexuals into the mix and it needs to be understood that there are no laws on the books that deal with this aspect of family and marital law, which in effect means that every new case that comes along is subject to interpretation by judges and subsequent challenges by the supreme court of Canada. As a part of the strategy proponents of this lifestyle intentionally bring test cases before judges in areas with high homosexual populations (British Columbia and Toronto) thereby almost guaranteeing a favorable ruling. This is done to set legal precedent for the rest of the country to live with. Case in point, a judge in B.C. today granted parental rights to a non-biological parent. A heterosexual woman divorced her husband and then has a change of orientation thus becoming a lesbian and then entering into a relationship with another woman and eventually getting married only to petition the courts for parental rights. The world has gone mad!
