20% OF CHINESE TOYS, BABY CLOTHES FAIL SAFETY INSPECTIONS

About 20 per cent of toys and baby clothes manufactured in China failed safety tests and could hurt children, the Beijing News reported Monday.

I would not doubt that. My country is full with items from China. Most times they break apart easily in your hand. Usually if you want something proper you have to go with known names like Fisher, Gerber, Matel and so forth.

Considering the volume of products that China exports, it's impossible to inspect or test every product that leaves the country. In light of recent events, however, China must do more than it has in the past.
