My favorite motorcycle is the BMW R 1200 C.  It is their cruiser model.  It is so ugly it's cute.  Very distinctive, doesn't look like any other cruiser.

I currently own a Suzuki 800 Intruder, but I would love the BMW.  Maybe a little tall for me though.  I would have to test it out.  I sat on one once, but haven't driven one!

kool.  I am parcel to the Kitana 1200.  The BMW is that the new one that they custom build to fit the rider?  I also really like the hayabushas I think I spelled that right lol

I don't know about a bike they custom build for the rider.  The 1200 C is the only cruiser they offer.  It has been around for a while, but it stands out from other cruisers because it doesn't try to look like a Harley.

I like the looks of a Harley, but it is refreshing to have a company will to just make their own bike and not worry about what Harley is doing.

If you are considering the Maruader, you really should seriously think about the Intruder. They have the exact same engine. The Intruder is shaft driven and the Marauder is chain. Usually, the chain driven engine would have more power than the shaft driven, but in the case the opposite is true. Could be the exhaust because that is another area which will rob an engine of power. For a woman, the intruder is a better fit - lighter and narrower.

I have an Intruder 800 and it is a great bike!

I had a Honda NightHawk 750 (hence my handle) for a few years. After moving to Michigan, we don't have a garage, my oldest daughter is now in college, and I haven't had a real raise yet, so I can't afford a bike right now.

I am more into cruisers than either sport or touring bikes. Having grown up in the mountians of Idaho, I really like Enduros (on/off road), but think I am a little old, fat, and stiff to try that type of life again (we'll see in a few months though wink.gif ).

At the moment, I want a Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad. It looks a lot like a Harley Road King, and the new ones have 1600cc. I understand it rides even better than a Road King, though.

I really lusted after the Indian Chief. But now Indian is no more (again).

Oh well, maybe one day I can get another NightHawk. Not the fastest or flashiest, but is inexpensive, reliable, and nice to ride.

I did look at the new Honda VTX1300 on the web last night. Hmmmmmm.

yea, Honda makes some pretty nice road bikes...especially the nighthawks. owned one for a couple of years as well, the 750 road pretty smooth. though now my favorite bike would be the Yamaha YZF R1, but i'm trying to finish off college, so a bike isn't quite in my budget right now, so maybe i'll get the Yamaha YZF R6 first......maybe....
