BOXING DAY BUYERS BESIEGE STORES

It's been another record Christmas. Yesterday turned an already hot trading season into a cracker for shopkeepers as families stretched their budgets for another binge.

Christmas Buying

It's been a long standing tradition here in the UK, for the store sales to start on Boxing day (the day after Christmas), 10am, and there ate queues of people hitting the sales!

Although the sales do go on until the end of January, it is a well known fact that the best offers start Boxing day, and when they've gone, you're then left with what's basically less and less until near the end of January, the sales are pretty naff!

It's that way here, too! Although a lot of people hit the stores to exchange gifts rather than to buy, they stay to see the great deals. Personally, I avoid shopping on that day as well as Black Friday after Thanksgiving smile.gif
