It is my belief that in the future we will have flying cars that can land and drive on a paved surface. I think things will be much different then too.

I saw some pictures of flying cars before, real-life too, but I noticed that the cars are too "Plane-like".

Maybe for emergency vehicles, but I just don't see this being a viable option for the general public. Can you imagine the increase in accidents and casualties both in those involved in the accident and those on the ground all that debris falls on?

Very true, it will take a LONG time for the humans to invent a flying car that is suitable for the public.

It's not that I don't believe that technically we are still a long way from manufacturing this type of vehicle. The escalation in the development of drones makes it not seem too far away the time when personal flying vehicles can be manufactured, however the air traffic control and the difficulty and price of obtaining flight licenses makes it very improbable that we will see flying cars circulating in the skies above the cities until a long time from now. It is not so much that the technology does not exist in the short term, but that I do not believe there is the capacity to manage its use today.
