270 Murders

On the 11th June it was 243 and today, 25th June, just two weeks later it is 270. No doubt here is becoming like Jamaica - very scary.

395 Murders

Just imagine we have 395 Murders so far in this tiny island. Another thing is that murders by five seems to be popular now or in other words murders on the news are coming out no longer as one per day but FIVE per day!

TT Crime Board Merges

In an effort to keep all related content together rather than spread we have merged the TT Crime Board with the Trinidad & Tobago General Board. Crime has such an influence on the country now that it is a mainstream Topic and not one for a separate Board.

Rather off topic, but...
The other Trini realted Boards as well as the Caribbean Board has been merged as well.

29 Murders so far for 2010

Just imagine in this tiny island we already have 29 murders for the year with an unbelievable 11 in the past 48 hours. The worrying part is the execution style of the murders with heads / limbs chopped off, bullets in the back or head at close range and so on.

203 Murders for 2010

It has been harc to keep track of the murder rate with all the attention being shifted to National Elections. The latest figure we have secured seems a bit more than our record ut we will run with it for now: 203 Murders for 2010 thus far: Source 2

251 Murders

TTCrime has been updated to reflect the 251 Murders thus far for the year. Keep in mind this figure is only those who are now dead and does not reflect the many others than may have been stabbed, robbed, raped or shot but lived through it. Unfortunately, those who live through it have to live their lives remembering the crime. I am still waiting to see what is 'new' on the table for fighting Crime with the new government.

I am concerned about the 'rate of change'. Right now it seems not even the current government can get the police to act immediately and timely (re: church looting, no show PBR in other Threads).
