Terrible Seat On A Plane
Have you ever had the unfortunate luck of being seated directly across from the plane's lavatory or other place? Tell us about it.
This is so cliche, but it happens all the time: sitting within 3 or 4 rows of someone with their unruly children! Argh! Screaming, running, crying, throwing things, dropping food all over the floor, backtalking, pulling sibling's hair, etc. - it's a nightmare. I even tried once to help a lady who had three little ones with her; I took the oldest one, who might have been 4, so she could feed the baby, but after five minutes of his shrieking I wanted to kill the little brat. I managed to hold him until she finished feeding the baby and then back he went. He never did calm down through the entire 5 hour flight.
I have suffered all of the above and will add a few through experience that may jog some memories:
* Guy in front keeps leaning back and putting upright his seat while you are trying to use the table.
* You get a seat that does not have all the 'extras' - blanket, pillow, magazine or ear phones
* You are seated in between two people that have attitude
* You are on a row isle and the person near the window constantly wants to pass by you to go to the toilet
* Someone next to you is engaging someone in conversation so loud that you can hardly get any sleep
* The whole plane is dark, but the person next to you decides they will turn on their light at 3am
Any memories jogged?
