It's so good to hear that she was found alive and, relatively, safe. So many of these occurences with children being abducted have not ended so well for the child. I truly hope they find the man who did this.
What I want to know is how in the world he managed to get in the house and get her out without anybody noticing. Personally, anytime I babysit anybody younger than 8 and they're in the bathrub, I check on them every so often. It just amazes me how things like this happen, and parents are completely oblivious until it's too late.

I have my daughter in the bath and the phone rings, she's 7 so it's not like she's going to tip over and drown, so I step out of the bathroom to answer it and not in a million years do I think she's not going to be there when I return. This is a very, very sad thing.

I'm glad that he's behind bars for quite a while, this was a really horrific ordeal for this little girl.

What? He DOES has a chance to actually be released in ten years? This guy needs to be locked up for good, with no possibility EVER to see the sunlight ever again!

I agree with you LDS, 10 years for this sort of crime is nothing...the girl won't even be an adult by the time he is released! Little comfort for her and her family.
It makes it even worse by the fact that he has already committed another sexual act on a minor.
In my opinion, he's never going to change, once a paedophile, always a paedophile!

There is not jail time for such crimes... I can only agree with death. Such persons have passed humanity and are only ravenous wolves among sheep - and what does one do when a wold continues to attack the flock?

The main part of it was quote , sorry that I didn't make that clear, the last sentence was mine.
I think that the death penalty should be brought back over here, but sadly I seem to be in the minority with that thought.
Whilst heinous crimes are on the increase, it also hardens peoples hearts, and as we see so much death and destruction through films, news, media etc, we actually become 'de-sensitized' and accept it as part of daily living, whereas the reality is that a stance should be made against these predators to make them think twice of re-offending.
